Face and Body care

Part of what “give what you’re worth” means to me is sharing with others practices that help me to return to my body. Building awareness through movement practices, meditation & Mindfulness, as well as self massage.

finding the time, money, and commitment to go for a spa day, get a facial, or a massage can be rare. Creating a grounding space and a loving practice can not only feel great, but also create a sense of security as the caregiver commits to also being the receiver.

Below you will find resources to begin a self massage practice and other body care techniques.

Koko Hayashi

Koko Hayashi is all over social media platforms, YouTube, on her website, and she even started a show on Amazon at one point. She’s extremely enthusiastic and her content is accessible.

Koko Hayashi offers teachings of her own particular Face Yoga method, which are exercises, stretches, and holds done on different parts of the face to strengthen weak muscles and relax overworked ones. Koko Hayashi is additionally trained in and incorporates Shiatsu massage in her practice.

One of my favorite tools she offers is a map (below) that shows where people tend to overwork (red) and underwork (blue) facial muscles.

KR Tiger

KR Tiger is a Korean YouTuber who focuses mainly on facial massage using one’s hands. Her massage flow videos are extremely chill and simple to follow. KR Tiger incorporates acupressure into her instruction, which I find helpful. KR Tiger does not allow playback on her videos, so click the images below to watch each video.

Lanshin

Treatment by Lanshin is a holistic healing company out of Brooklyn, NY, that uses Traditional Chinese Medicine to heal skin and restore the body. They have their own line of products available including Gua Sha stones and facial misters, serums, etc. Their videos are a great introduction to using a Gua Sha stone itself and I highly recommend checking them out.

Sukie Baxter

I’ve linked to Sukie Baxter in the context of her Open Eyes Somatic Meditation. Her website is Whole Body Revolution where she offers services to help unblock stuck emotions. Her main platform is on YouTube, which, again, makes her content accessible.

Dana Omari

Dana Omari, founder of Noy Skincare, is also located out of New York. Noy Skincare itself offers a variety of services to help people reset their skin and simplify their routine. Dana Omari only has a few videos posted on her YouTube channel and I wish she had more because they’re well done and super informative.
